5th Edition of Kampala Geopolitics Conference Set to Bring Together Experts on The African Continent

The 5th Edition of the Kampala Geopolitics Conference (KGC) slated for 15th – 16th November in Kampala is set to bring together experts on the African continent to discuss emerging Geopolitics and trends on the African continent.

Running under the theme ‘Bringing International Debates on the African Continent’, the two day conference is set to have over 15 panels and over 80 speakers who will be talking about Security, Health, and environment among many other topics.

The Conference will be taking place at Makerere University Central Teaching Facility (CTF2).

The Kampala Geopolitics Conference is inspired by the flagship event of the “Geopolitics of Nantes” in France. The KGC is a high- level conference offering an interactive platform for dialogue and free exchange on contemporary, regional and international debates to move global debates to an African stage.

After four successful years, the conference has become a regional flagship bearer for Geopolitical debates: by complimenting global conversations with regional and African perspectives, the conference sets the course for balanced discourse and places sustainable development, global peace and international cooperation in the limelight.

KGC is organized by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) and Makerere University with support from UN Women, Alliance Française Kampala, and the Institut de Relations Internationales et Stratégiques (IRIS).
