Magogo declared unopposed in the FUFA Presidential race

Newly elected MP for Budiope, Moses Magogo has been declared unopposed in the FUFA Presidencial race after his fellow competitors failed to fulfill the tough requirements needed to stand.

“FUFA Electoral Committee announces that only one candidate Eng. Moses Magogo returned duly signed forms for the position of FUFA President. Magogo named his 14 man Committee that was released to the media today by the Electoral Committee as per Electoral Code,” FUFA said in a statement.

Ex-International and Proline Football Club Owner Mujib Kasule failed to get signatures from delegates who claimed their signatures were already secured for Magogo.

Makindye West MP Allan Ssewanyana also failed to raise signatures from delegates hence giving Magogo an open chance for another term.

The previous term was much tough for Magogo as he was convicted by FIFA for selling World Cup tickets which were intended for Ugandan Fans.

FUFA set Saturday August 21, 2021 for the upcoming general polls during this year’s Ordinary General Assembly to be hosted in Mbale where Magogo will be announced to begin his third term and a new Executive into office for a four year term will be voted. A total of 88 delegates will take part in the elections.
